Photo: Clemson Santa with Deshaun Watson

Christmas is only 17 days away and there was a rare Santa sighting during the celebratory Pizza Party at Death Valley on Sunday.

This jolly Santa was fully decked out in Orange and was in attendance to get a free slice of Papa John Pizza.

Here is a photo of him and Clemson sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson hanging out at the free event.

Santa's official visit comes as no surprise as Clemson posted a recruiting letter from him back in 2014.

In the letter, we learn that Santa Claus is actually a die-hard Clemson alum from 1896, his residence is 66422 S Santa Claus Ln. North Pole, Alaska, 99705 and Swinney and Santa are old friends.

Update: spoke with "Clemson Santa Paws" on Tuesday morning and he said that he is a lifelong Clemson fan and he actually grew up with Coach Robbie Caldwell. He will be in Miami and hopes to meet up to celebrate with Clemson fans.
