Nuk Hopkins on late game non-fumble recovery

by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson standout Nuk Hopkins is getting some flack from Houston Texans' fans on social media for not coming up with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's fumble with two minutes left in the fourth quarter of the Texans and Colts game on Thursday night.

The Colts ending up winning 33-28 and the fumble was a crucial play in the game and Hopkins talked to the media on Friday and was asked about the late fumble.

“I think I made the biggest mistake by hesitating," said Hopkins. "If I didn't think it was an incomplete pass, I probably could have got it. I thought it was incomplete, and I hesitated. By the time I got to it, their guy got on it."

“The game doesn't come down to one play but I'll take the blame.”

On the bright side for the Texans, they almost had the biggest comeback in franchise history falling behind 24-0 in the first quarter.
