NFL.com's scouting report of Charone Peake

by - Assoc. Editor -

NFL.com has released its prospect review of former Clemson wide receiver Charone Peake and graded him as a 5.88 on their prospect scale. 5.70-5.99 is categorized as a player that could become an early NFL starter.

"Rare combination of size and speed that can often be found in number one wide receivers," NFL.com said. "Peake was highly regarded coming out of high school but failed to post eye-popping production thanks, in part, to two knee injuries. While his small hands are a concern, his athleticism and ability to operate on all levels of the field warrant consideration inside the first three rounds if his medicals check out."

Peake had 50 receptions for 716 yards and five touchdowns this past season. For his career, he had 99 catches for 1172 yards and ten scores.
