NFL.com ranks Watson #1 QB to watch in 2016

NFL.com has released its latest article that ranked the top college football quarterbacks to watch in 2016 and Clemson junior quarterback Deshaun Watson was #1 on the list.

"Before 2015, Watson had multiple injury issues to contend with, including a torn ACL," NFL.com said. "It will be interesting to see if Clemson still asks as much from Watson as a ball carrier considering his importance to the offense and status as a player who could be eligible for the 2017 draft. He needs to improve his deep-ball accuracy and fix his issues with staring down targets in 2016."

Watson finished third in the Heisman Trophy balloting last season and will be one of the favorites in 2016. Watson completed 333-of-491 passes for 4,104 yards and 35 touchdowns and also had 207 rushes for 1,105 yards and 12 scores this past season.

He became the first player in NCAA FBS history to throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season.

The Top 10 quarterbacks to watch in 2016 list were Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, Chad Kelly, Josh Rosen, Luke Falk, J.T. Barrett, Brad Kaaya, Pat Mahomes, Mason Rudolph, and Greg Ward Jr.
