by - Assoc. Editor -

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali will be receiving the Grawemeyer Spirit Award on Thursday from the University of Louisville and the school plans to recognize him at the Clemson-Louisville football game.

Ali has a 50K scholarship in his name to the Cardinals' baseball program. "It allows me to support three things I love: children, education and sports," said Ali via the Courier-Journal.

His son Asaad played was a catcher for the Louisville baseball team from 2009-2012.
