McDaniel has confirmed on his twitter account that he was cut by the Saints today. He had the following to say:

"Saints waived me today! Don't feel sorry for me! God has a plan. Find a new home soon!! I would be mad if I had a chance and failed, but I wasn't even getting the chance! So I know God has a plan."

He had 296 tackles, 20 pass breakups, 18 1/2 tackles for loss, and 15 INTs in his college career.
