Clemson standout defensive back Mackensie Alexander has signed with agent Trey Robinson of the RES Agency who also represents former Tigers Quandon Christian and Tavaris Barnes.

The Tigers with Alexander were the number two defense in the country in passes completed holding opponents to 47.6 completion percentage. In 638 snaps this season, QBs completed 11 passes vs. Alexander.

Alexander had two tackles before leaving in the second quarter of the National Championship game against Alabama with a left hamstring injury.

The shutdown corner interestingly never had an interception at Clemson but broke up 11 passes.

ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay has Alexander as the No. 27 overall prospect for the upcoming NFL draft.

Mel Kiper Jr. had Alexander taken with the #21st overall pick with the Washington Redskins in his first NFL Mock Draft.
