Latest NCAA projection for Clemson |
FoxSports.com has released their
latest NCAA projections and the Tigers are one of their last four in the tournament alongside Texas Tech, Washington and UCLA.
The #12 seeds Clemson and UCLA would battle for the right to play #5 Kentucky in Philadelphia at the East Region according to the early projections. Other ACC schools in the tournament projections include #5 seed Louisville, #3 seed Miami, #11 seed Florida State, #7 seed Duke, #1 seed North Carolina, #6 seed Pittsburgh, #10 seed Syracuse, #8 seed Notre Dame and #3 seed Virginia. The ACC had the most bids by conference with ten total. The Clemson (13-7, 6-2 ACC) vs. Florida State (13-7, 3-5) game will tipoff today at 12 PM EST on RSN at the Donald L. Tucker Center. Clemson is looking for its sixth ACC win out of only seven games. The Seminoles lead the all-time series 37-31, but Clemson won 84-75 in Greenville on January 2. The Tigers are looking for their third straight win in Tallahassee. A second-straight win over Florida State this season would certainly help Clemson's tournament chances if the two teams end the season with similar resumes.
