Latest NCAA Regional projection for Clemson Baseball |
Clemson has been included in the latest projection on Wednesday for the NCAA baseball tournament field of 64 teams.
The Tigers were a host in the Clemson, SC Regional as a #1 seed with Vanderbilt (#2 seed), Southeastern Louisiana (#3 seed) and Mercer (#4 seed) according to the projection by Baseball America. "Speaking of Clemson, it’s too hard to pass up the Tigers right now, as they’ve climbed to No. 10 in the RPI and finished 16-14 in the ACC, with key series wins down the stretch against both N.C. State and Florida State, adding to their early-season series win against South Carolina," Baseball America said. "The Tigers’ 8-13 record against the RPI top 25 isn’t glamorous, but we’ll look for them to keep their momentum going in Durham this week." The Tigers were also a host in the Clemson, SC Regional as a #1 seed with Pepperdine (#2 seed), Oklahoma State (#3 seed) and Michigan (#4 seed) according to a projection by D1 Baseball. Clemson will be the #6 seed in the ACC Tournament and will face #3 seed Virginia on Thursday at 11 a.m., #2 seed Louisville on Friday at 11 a.m., and the winner of the Duke vs. Wake Forest first-round game on Saturday at 11 a.m.
