Clemson currently has the #7 2016 recruiting class in the nation according to the
latest ESPN national rankings.
"Clemson is becoming a fixture in the top 10 under Dabo Swinney," ESPN Recruiting Nation said. "Running back and No. 30 overall Tavien Feaster got the ball rolling with a commitment on national signing day and has since been joined by No. 22 Rahshaun Smith. No. 199 Zerrick Cooper is yet another talented quarterback headed to Clemson. No. 229 Tavares Chase is yet another talented receiver from the Tampa area set to play for the Tigers." The Tigers have 6 four-star commits including four in the ESPN 300 (LB Rahshaun Smith, RB Tavien Feaster, QB Zerrick Cooper and Tavares Chase) and 2 three-star prospects (WR Cornell Powell, Jamie Skalski) for the 2016 recruiting class. Tight end J.C. Chalk recently received his 4th star from ESPN. Clemson is third in the ACC behind Florida State (#1 overall with 14 commits) and Miami (#2 overall with 20 commits). The Tigers are hanging tough in the rankings with only 8 commits. Surprisingly, Duke is also in the top 15 at #13 overall. USC is a new school in the Top 10 at #9.
