Latest Bowl Projections for Clemson

Latest Bowl Projections for Clemson

by - Assoc. Editor -

ESPN analysts Mark Schlabach and Brett McMurphy, Bracketology Expert Jerry Palm and FoxSports.com's Stewart Mandel have released their latest bowl projections and all agree with Clemson's future bowl destination.

They predict Clemson (#1 seed) vs. Oklahoma (#4 seed) in the upcoming Capital One Orange Bowl in the College Football Playoff.

The contest would be a rematch of the 2014 Russell Athletic Bowl in which the Tigers crushed Oklahoma 40-6.

Former Clemson signal-caller Cole Stoudt was 26/36 for 319 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Sooners in his final collegiate game.

The other College Football Playoff projections have Alabama (#2 seed) vs. Michigan State (#3 seed) in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl.

Clemson will play South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday afternoon with a 14-game winning streak, the longest active streak in college football.

The Gamecocks are 3-8 on the season and will miss out on postseason play.
