was asked about the pedestrian defensive performance against North Carolina. The Tigers' defense gave up 307 passing in the second half against North Carolina.

"It was poor. From want we want to be great, that was a poor performance," said Kearse. From coming off last week where we played a few four quarters as a defense. We came out there and had a solid first half and then the second half we came and had a poor performance. And like Coach V said talking to us, we all have to take accountability for it. It was not just one person, it was us as a unit and we plan on getting it fixed this week."

Kearse was asked if he thought that the team relaxed once they got a sizable lead against the Tarheels.

"I wouldn't quite say that. It was just a lack of focus coming out of that second half. We came out first half and we were ready to play. Going into halftime, we just relaxed a little and we did not have the same focus as we did in the first half."

Kearse finished the game with 10 tackles against North Carolina.
