K.J. McDaniels injury update

by - Assoc. Editor -

K.J. McDaniels told the Houston Chronicle on Friday that he has a non-displaced fracture in his right elbow and will be out 2-3 weeks.

McDaniels suffered the injury on Wednesday in the Rocket's season finale win against the Jazz.

“I believe it happened when I was chasing down one of the Jazz players and he was under me and I just came down on top of him, really hard and landed on my wrist and it went to my arm,” McDaniels told the local media.

McDaniels played tough however as he stayed in the game despite the pain. “It was weird when it happened but I just kept playing," McDaniels said.

The former Clemson standout averaged 7.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 blocks during his rookie season including 19 DNPs for the Rockets.
