Jarrett impressive in Falcons' 20-19 win |
Former Clemson standout
Grady Jarrett
Grady Jarrett Jarrett had seven tackles including three tackles for loss and a sack in a 20-19 Falcons' preseason win over the Ravens. “I felt good,” Jarrett said via atlantafalcons.com. “I wanted to finish the preseason strong. I knew I was going to have the opportunity to play a lot of snaps, so I just tried to take advantage of my opportunity and make the most of it.” “I thought he was really disruptive, Grady was," Falcons head coach said. "I think he ended up with four tackles for loss and sack. We felt that disruption. We have really been wanting to see that. The movement that he made, he’s got real initial quickness of the ball. It was great to see him really battle for it. You could tell he was comfortable. He’s good the scheme down. It was great to see him have a night like he had tonight.” Jarrett had 207 tackles, 29.5 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 37 quarterback pressures, one pass break-up, two caused fumbles and four recovered fumbles in his college career. Jarrett had a career-high three and a half tackles for loss and a forced fumble in the 40-6 rout of Oklahoma in the Russell Athletic Bowl. He also was voted as one of the football team's permanent captains for 2014. As a senior, he had 73 tackles and 12 quarterback pressures. His personal achievements in 2014 included being named third-team All-American by Athlon, All-Bowl team AP, All-Bowl team NFL.com, First-team All-ACC by ACC Coaches and First-team All-ACC ESPN.com. Grady Jarrett just having a monster night! That's a sack for the rook. #BALvsATL
