was back in his hometown of Central(S.C.) on Monday to make a surprise visit to the Central Hurricanes Football team and hand out new football equipment.

Hopkins is sponsoring the team and personally gave out new cleats, gloves, socks and shirts.

"Just never give up on your dreams or what you love," Hopkins told Fox Carolina. "You know even if it's not football, if it's you wanna be a rocket scientist, it's possible. Never give up, no matter who tells you you can't."
