Gamecock kicker takes a jab at Clemson |
South Carolina (2-3) will be playing at Baton Rouge in Tiger Stadium instead of Columbia for their matchup against #7 LSU (4-0) on Saturday, 3:30 pm.
The reason for the location change is the historic floods that have impacted Columbia and several other towns in South Carolina. "We made the extremely difficult decision to cancel classes for the week due to the stress 34,000 students would place on the region's recovering infrastructure, there is no doubt 85,000 fans would exact the same toll," University of South Carolina president Harris Pastides said in a statement. "In the spirit of supporting our South Carolina community that is so supportive of Gamecock Nation, we have decided to move the game to Baton Rouge. Gamecock kicker Elliott Fry appears excited to play at LSU and even took a shot at Clemson by tweeting the following on Wednesday: "Excited to get to play in the real Death Valley this weekend!" Excited to get to play in the real Death Valley this weekend! #gamecocknation November 29th, 2014 35-17...That had to have felt real. U don't want to play in THAT one again?
