Former Clemson shortstop Brad Miller was traded from the Seattle Mariners to the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday according to a team release.

The details of the trade between the Mariners and the Rays were a six-player swap: Seattle sent SS Brad Miller, 1B/OF Logan Morrison and RHP Danny Farquhar for RHP Nathan Karns, LHP C.J. Riefenhauser and OF Boog Powell to Tampa Bay.

The 26-year old Florida native (Orlando's Olympia HS), hit .258 with 11 home runs, 46 RBIs, 13 stolen bases and had a .730 OPS last season. He was a versatile player in 2015 playing 89 games at shortstop, 15 games at left field, 11 games at second base, ten games at designated hitter, six games at right field and two games at third-base.

For his MLB career, Miller is batting .248 with 29 home runs, 118 RBIs and a .313 on-base percentage.

Miller will be reunited with former Clemson standout Richie Shaffer in Tampa Bay.
