announced on social media Wednesday that he will be playing for the San Diego Chargers for this upcoming season.

"Excited to say imma be out in SD next year can't wait to start this new journey all those who have supported and prayed for me continue to do so the colors change but the grind stays the same," Hairston said on his personal Instagram account. "BOLT UP!!!!!!"

Hairston played for current Chargers' offensive line coach Joe D'Alessandris while in Buffalo.

The 26-year old offensive tackle only saw 38 total snaps in 2014 (played all 16 games as a reserve) after missing the entire 2013 season on the reserve-non-football injury list. In 2012, he was placed on IR and had subsequent surgery to remove some loose pieces of bone.

He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in Round 4 of the 2011 NFL Draft and was part of the 2011 draft-day trade (and LB Tank Cardner) that took star running back Marshawn Lynch from Buffalo to Seattle.
