Elliott says it was Bell's decision to move to TE

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott on Wednesday confirmed that redshirt freshman Shadell Bell has made the move from wide receiver to tight end.

"Just his body type and looking for opportunities to get on the field," Elliott said. "He just felt like that was his best opportunity to get on the field."

Elliott said it was Bell that pulled the trigger on the move.

"It was his decision," Elliott said. "He came to us, and Coach Swinney will let those guys if they want to take an opportunity to get on the field he will let them move."

Bell came to Clemson as the No. 46 receiver in the nation and No. 42 player in Georgia by Rivals.com.
