ESPN lists 2 Tigers poised for breakout seasons

ESPN has released its latest article listing the top ACC players that could have a big impact on the 2016 season returning from previous injuries.

Clemson star receiver Mike Williams is obviously someone that could have a huge year as a vital piece of the Tigers' potent passing attack.

"The Tigers’ offense was still spectacular even without Williams, who went down with a neck injury in Week 1. But his loss as a deep threat did force some adjustments, as evidenced by the marked decline in Artavis Scott’s yards after catch numbers," ESPN.com said. "His return opens up another dimension for a passing game that is already among the nation’s best."

Williams had 1,030 receiving yards and 6 TDs in 2014 and 77 catches for 1,346 yards and nine touchdowns in his collegiate career.

Korrin Wiggins is another no-brainer selection as he has logged valuable experience for Clemson's talented defenses the last few years. He expects to be close to 100% as he continues to recover from a torn ACL that he suffered back in August 2015.

"An ACL injury in fall camp forced Wiggins to miss the season, and he was limited during spring practice, but he should be 100 percent by the time camp opens again in August," ESPN.com said. "The Tigers will need him after watching four starters in their secondary -- including nickel Travis Blanks -- depart early for the NFL draft. Wiggins opens up options as a fifth DB or strongside linebacker."

Wiggins had 54 tackles, four tackles for loss, four interceptions and seven passes broken up in 25 games in two seasons before the injury.

The full list of ACC players that could return from injury and make a huge impact includes RB Matt Dayes, RB James Conner, WR Mike Williams, DB Korrin Wiggins, DB Bryon Fields, DB Trey Marshall, RB Qua Searcy, OT Michael Mooney, LB Sean Huelskamp and RB Jonathan Hilliman.
