ESPN analyst says Kaaya is more NFL-ready QB than Watson |
ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay had some interesting things to say about the 2017 NFL Draft class on ESPN's College Football Live on Wednesday as he thinks that Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya is more NFL ready than all other quarterbacks including Heisman finalist Deshaun Watson.
"I think Brad Kaaya is the most NFL-ready of all these guys," McShay said. "He doesn't have a big arm and he needs to get a little bit bigger in terms of his bulk in order to hold up. He has the height, can see the whole field, and does it cause he has fast eyes. The guy processes information from what I see on tape so quickly and efficiently. He has good anticipation which you need to have if you don't have that elite big-time arm." In Clemson's 2015 meeting with Miami, the Tigers won 58-0 as Deshaun Watson was 15 for 19 for 143 yards and a passing touchdown. He also had 8 rushes for 98 yards and a score. In contrast, Miami's quarterback Brad Kaaya was 6 for 10 for 51 yards and an interception before getting knocked out of the game with a concussion by Shaq Lawson.
