has suffered an ankle injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game against the Patriots on Sunday night.

Allen was carted off by team officials to the locker room in the second quarter.

He was held without a catch before being forced to leave the game. Coby Fleener will now be the starter in place of Allen for the Colts. For the season, Allen has 26 catches for 374 yards and seven touchdowns.

Update: NFL insider Ian Rapoport reporting that Allen has a low-ankle sprain that is not considered too severe.
