Deshaun Watson already throwing a football? |
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney said during his Monday night call-in show that freshman quarterback Deshaun Watson is already throwing a football, even though it's not the official variety.
Watson broke a bone in his hand against Louisville and had surgery a week ago, but is progressing and even throwing a NERF football. "Deshaun really looks good. I am very pleased with how in one week’s time he is really progressing nicely," Swinney said. "They’ve got him a really sleek splint-type of thing on his hand that is allowing him to bend his hand. We got him a NERF football and he was throwing some pretty good spirals with just your old NERF football out there tonight. He has got it squeezing the ball. He has done really well for one week’s time. Again, we’re hopeful he will be back by the time we play Georgia Tech. But he is certainly out this week and the next week with the Wake Forest game after the open date."
