DeAndre Hopkins sets franchise record

by - Assoc. Editor -

Deandre "Nuk" Hopkins has had a brilliant start in his first four professional seasons with the Houston Texans.

How good has he been?

The former Clemson product has set a new franchise record with 312 receptions in his first four NFL seasons surpassing Andre Johnson's previous record.

"It's pretty special," Hopkins said via the Houston Chronicle. "It's hard to downplay a future Hall-of-Famer. I have to thank my teammates and coaches for putting me in position to make those plays since I've been here, but Andre has done it for so long. Four years is nothing."

Hopkins has 78 receptions for 954 yards and four touchdowns this season.
