DALLAS (August 27, 2012) –Tomorrow night’s "Dan Rather Reports” will give viewers the latest on the truly inspirational story of Daniel Rodriguez, the heroic U.S. Infantryman – recipient of a bronze star with valor and a purple heart for battlefield injuries – who will soon play Division 1 football at Clemson University.
Much has changed since “Dan Rather Reports” first interviewed Rodriguez, a two-sport high school athlete from northern Virginia with big dreams of playing college football until a detour in his life led him to serve as a U.S. Infantryman in Iraq and Afghanistan.
But after making a promise to a fallen friend, he is now getting ready to take the field for a much different kind of battle.
Tune in tomorrow night to "Dan Rather Reports: A Fighting Chance" premiering at 8:00 p.m. ET with an encore at 11:00 p.m. ET.
