Clemson student makes Top 7 in Miss America Pageant |
Clemson University student Daja Dial finished in the Top 7 (sixth or seventh place) at the 2016 Miss America Pageant on Sunday night.
Dial was asked during the important question portion of the contest: "Do you support a ban on military-style assault weapons?" "I don't...If we teach people the proper way to use guns then we will reduce the risk of having gun-related accidents," Dail said. "It starts with education." Dial was named Miss South Carolina 2015 back at the end of the June and was also a previous Clemson cheerleader and was named Miss Clemson University in 2013 and 2nd runner-up to Miss South Carolina in 2014.
