Clemson slides in latest Baseball Polls

Beer already has 11 homers this season

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Tigers, who are 17-6 overall and 5-4 in the ACC, are ranked as high as No. 14 by D1Baseball this week. Clemson is also No. 17 in the Collegiate Baseball poll and No. 22 in the USA Today coaches poll. It marks the fourth straight week the Tigers are ranked in the top 25 of at least one poll.

The Tigers suffered a three-game sweep at No. 4 Miami (Fla.) over the weekend, as the first two games were one-run contests won by the Hurricanes in walkoff fashion.

Seth Beer (21) and Chase Pinder (10) bring double-digit hitting streaks into this week's action. Clemson plays road games at Furman (Tuesday) and Western Carolina (Wednesday) before returning home to face Pittsburgh at Doug Kingsmore Stadium this weekend.
