Clemson ranked in Top 3 of ESPN's Power Rankings |
Clemson dropped one spot to #3 in
ESPN's Power Rankings after Week 1 of the college football season. The Tigers are currently ranked #2 in the USA Today Poll and AP Poll that were released on Tuesday afternoon.
"Welcome back, Mike Williams," ESPN said. "The Tigers' star receiver returned from last season's neck injury with nine catches for 174 yards vs. Auburn. Clemson needed all of it, too, in escaping The Plains with a closer-than-expected 19-13 victory." The full Top 25 rankings were Alabama, Florida State, Clemson, Ohio State, Houston, Michigan, Stanford, Washington, Georgia, Wisconsin, Texas, Louisville, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Iowa, Tennessee, TCU, Oklahoma State, LSU, Baylor, UCLA, and Oregon. Other schools that received votes included North Carolina, Boise State, Florida, Miami, San Diego State, Western Michigan, Colorado, and Appalachian State.
