Clemson ranked in Top 15 of ESPN's FPI

by - Assoc. Editor -

ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule.

Clemson is ranked #13 on the ranked list with a projected 9.1 wins and 3.0 losses for the season.

The Tigers have a chance of 32.7% to win out their remaining games, a 4.6% chance of winning the ACC and a remaining strength of schedule of 69 according to the Football Power Index.

Clemson's remaining strength of schedule is the lowest besides Marshall in the Top 25 FPI schools.

Only three schools have a better odds of winning out compared to Clemson (Oklahoma, Marshall, and Memphis) and the Tigers are the highest rated 2-loss team besides Texas A&M.

The only ACC schools in the Top 25 were Florida State (#4) and Clemson (#13). The next highest ranked ACC team is Virginia Tech (#34).
