Clemson ranked #1 in ESPN's CFB Power Rankings

Clemson (8-0, 5-0) moved up one spot past Ohio State to the #1 ranking in the latest ESPN College Football Power Rankings with 312 votes on Sunday after a convincing 56-41 victory over NC State on Halloween.

"Great teams win in different ways, and Clemson took a different route to greatness at NC State," ESPN stated. "A Tigers defense that has reloaded so well despite so many key departures finally showed some cracks, although the bigger issues might have come on special teams. It didn't matter in the end as quarterback Deshaun Watson tossed five touchdown passes and running back Wayne Gallman scampered for 171 yards as the Tigers remained perfect entering this week's home showdown against Florida State."
