Clemson ranked #1 best college value in S.C.

Clemson University was ranked the best value of all Colleges and Universites in South Carolina according to a new study by SmartAsset.com. The ranking factors that it took into consideration included average scholarships and grants, starting salary upon graduation, tuition, living costs and rentention rate.

The Tigers have a affordability index of 83.73 with average scholarships and grants of $13,817, starting salary upon graduation of $49,000, tuition of $12,674, living costs of $14,676 and a retention rate of 92%.

The Top 10 schools in South Carolina (in order): Clemson University, Wofford College, University of South Carolina, College of Charleston, South Carolina State University, Furman University, Charleston Southern University, Bob Jones University, Coastal Carolina University and Winthrop University.

Clemson was also ranked the #36th best value in the entire nation.
