Clemson projected in field of latest NIT Bracketology |
The Clemson basketball team is currently projected in the field of 32 NCAA teams for the 2015 NIT Tournament according to the
latest Bracketology by the Donchess Inference Index.
The Tigers are projected as a five seed in the NIT Tournament with a bracket rating of 1.776 and a strength of schedule of 1.383 (35 overall). Clemson is projected to play in a postseason tournament despite losing four of their last five games and being dead last in the ACC in points per game (62.0), field goals per game (22.0), field goal percentage (.411), assists (284) and next to last in assists to turnover ratio (0.89). Clemson's team defense is currently tied with a ranked of #45 nationally giving up only 60.8 points a game. Other ACC schools that are projected into the NIT include Miami (#1 seed), Georgia Tech (#7 seed), and Florida State (#8 seed). Rival South Carolina is projected ahead of the Tigers with a #4 seed in the tournament.
