— Goodman appears to be coming into his own, and not a moment too soon. The senior had no sacks through Clemson’s first six games, but now has recorded sacks in two straight games. The key to slowing Duke’s offense will be getting pressure on the quarterback, and Goodman is the leading candidate to accomplish that.

— It sounds like a broken record, but as Boyd goes, so go the Tigers. Boyd is coming off a career-best performance in which he passed for a school-record 428 yards and five touchdowns and there’s no reason to believe he can’t keep his good vibe going against a Duke defense that can be porous.
