Clemson moves up in latest AP Poll |
Clemson (7-0, 4-0 ACC) moved up one spot to the #3 ranking with 1,382 points in the
latest AP Poll released on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers had a bye week to rest up for their road matchup with #12 Florida State on Saturday night. Clemson is currently a three-point road favorite with the Vegas odds that were released on Sunday afternoon. Clemson defeated North Carolina State 24-17 in overtime last Saturday in Death Valley. In other action, #1 Alabama beat Texas A&M 33-14 while Ohio State was shocked with a late blocked field goal by Penn State in a 24-21 loss. Michigan dominated Illinois 41-8 as the Wolverines held their opponent scoreless until the fourth quarter. Washington defeated Oregon State 41-17 as the Beavers never threatened with an upset. Houston, Arkansas, Mississippi fell out of the poll. For the first time since the end of the 2011 season, Penn State is ranked in the poll at #24.
