was in Denver on Thursday to prepare for his first NFL rookie mini-camp. However, because of his recent back surgery he has failed his physical and will not be able to participate.

"Well my path to the NFL has been put on hold," Davis said on his facebook account. "Due to my recent back surgery I am unable to compete right now and failed the physical so I'll being out on the shelf but hopefully in 2 months I'll receive an invitation to camp assuming in cleared by then... The dream isn't over just on hold!"

As a senior, he was named a honorable mention All-ACC by the media and a medal of honor bowl invitee. He had 28 knockdown blocks in his 13 starts. He is fourth in Clemson history with 1,618 snaps over his 49 games played in his career.
