by - Assoc. Editor -

2016 switch-hitting shortstop Logan Davidson from Charlotte, North Carolina (Providence HS) has committed to Clemson on Thursday according to multiple sources. He is already 6'3 and weighs in at 180 pounds.

Logan will join the Tigers following his senior season at Providence where he will help lead the Panthers in defense of their state 4A title.

His summer team is the South Charlotte Panthers.

Logan's father Mark played at Clemson and also played in the big leagues and was a member of the 1987 Minnesota Twins' team that won a World Series title. Also, Logan's sister played tennis at Stanford.

The 2016 shortstop recruit is the 8th commitment (2015-2017) for Lee since he has taken over as head coach at Clemson.
