Clemson is now ranked #1 defense in the nation

The Clemson defense is ranked #1 in total defense.

The Tigers are now ranked #1 in total defense in the nation with 252.4 ypg which is ahead of Wisconsin's 259.3 ypg. In 11 games, Clemson has only given up 2776 yards.

Clemson's stellar defense only gave up 155 total yards (115 passing, 40 rushing) against Georgia State in a blowout 28-0 win on Saturday night. This is the fifth time this year that Clemson's defense has held a team under 200 total yards.

Other impressive Clemson stats include a nation's best third down defensive conversion rate at .2706 percentage (46 for 170) and a whopping 9.91 tackles for loss per game with 480 TFL yardage. Clemson had nine more tackles for loss against Georgia State with a remarkable nine different players. Clemson led the nation in tackles for loss last season.

Clemson is third in the nation in three-and-outs with 68.
