Clemson to be honored at State House

by - Assoc. Editor -

The Clemson Football team will be honored on 'Clemson Day' at the State House on Tuesday for winning the 2016 National Championship.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney will be speaking at noon while members of the football team will be honored on the House Floor.

"At Clemson, we don't bring people here who win conference championships, or go to the sweet sixteen, or to the elite 8, or the final four," representative Gary Clary told WLTX. "We reserve that strictly for national champions so it's a big event for us to do that."

Earlier in the month, the Georgia House of Representatives honored signal-caller Deshaun Watson with a House Resolution for his impressive career at Clemson.
