Clemson has no movement in latest Coaches Poll |
Clemson (7-0) stayed at a #6 national ranking in the latest Coaches Poll with 1323 points on Sunday even after the Tigers gave the Hurricanes their worst loss in school history 58-0.
The Tigers had an impressive 567 total yards on offense including 416 yards on the ground and held the Hurricanes to only 146 total yards at Sun Life Stadium. ACC rival Florida State dropped six spots with a last-second dramatic loss to Georgia Tech 22-16 and Duke prevailed 45-43 against Virginia Tech in four overtimes for a current ranking of #18. ACC Coastal division school North Carolina was listed at #28 overall in other schools that received votes. The highest riser in the poll was Pittsburgh, who surged up four spots into the rankings at #24 and Utah had the highest fall in the poll dropping seven spots to a #14 ranking. American Athletic conference had an impressive three schools in the Top 25 poll including #16 Memphis, #19 Houston and #22 Temple. The two schools that plummeted out of the polls were No. 16 Texas A&M and No. 19 California.
