Clemson defense ranked #1 in nation

Grady Jarrett has been an anchor all season for the Tigers.

Clemson is still ranked #1 in total defense in the nation after its thrashing of the Gamecocks 35-17.

The Tiger's total defense 259.6 ypg is narrowly ahead of Wisconsin's 260.3 ypg. In 12 games, Clemson has only given up 3115 yards (1172 rushing, 1943 passing).

Other impressive Clemson stats include a nation's best tackles for loss at 10.2 per game. Clemson led the nation in tackles for loss last season and had 13 TFL vs South Carolina on Saturday. Clemson is ranked #2nd in nation in third down conversion at 28.11% and #5th in sacks with 3.58 per game.

Clemson is also #4th in pass defense at 161.9 ypg, #6th in run defense at 97.67 ypg, and ranked #8th in scoring defense giving up only 17.6 points a game.
