The Clemson Chapter of Uplifting Athletes is looking to turn touchdowns into rare disease research dollars. In order to support the Tigers’ chosen rare disease, Neuroblastoma, the Clemson Chapter is holding a Touchdown Pledge Drive on November 29. Fans can support the football student-athlete led Clemson Chapter by making a donation through the Touchdown Pledge Drive site: https://www.pldgit.com/clemson. The Clemson Chapter formed in early 2014 chose Neuroblastoma to support women’s basketball director of operations Kathy Becker and her son Colt, as he battles Neuroblastoma.

This Touchdown Pledge Drive will be the first event the Clemson Chapter will hold to raise awareness and research funds for its chosen rare disease.

Uplifting Athletes is a national non-profit organization aligning college football with rare diseases and raising them as a national priority through outreach, research, education and advocacy. Each of the 25 student-athlete led chapters nationwide raises research funds and brings awareness to their chosen rare disease through a Lift For Life fundraiser.

Uplifting Athletes is a full service national nonprofit organization aligning college football with rare diseases and raising them as a national priority through research, outreach, education and advocacy. What makes Uplifting Athletes unique is that our university chapters are run by current football student-athletes, providing them with an opportunity to gain management and leadership skills while learning how to leverage their assets and abilities to make a positive and lasting impact. Each chapter adopts one out of approximately 7,000 rare diseases (such as Aplastic Anemia, cystic fibrosis, pediatric brain cancer, kidney cancer, Leukemia, Neimann Pick Type-C, Neuroblastoma,, Fanconi anemia, etc.).
