Clemson, S.C.—Clemson’s offensive line has been named to the Joe Moore Award honor roll for the second quarter of the 2015 season. The Moore Award is named in honor of Joe Moore, who was a long time offensive line coach at the collegiate level.

Clemson was one of 14 offensive lines honored by the Joe Moore Foundation for Teamwork. Semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award will be announced on November 16 and five finalists will be announced on November 30. The winning unit will be released after the conference championship games.

In addition to Clemson, the teams on the honor roll for this quarter include Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa, LSU, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Texas Tech, Toledo, UCLA and Utah.

Clemson has a 6-0 record so far this year and the Tigers are ranked sixth in the nation. Clemson has won nine straight games over two years and 15 of the last 15.

Clemson’s offensive line has helped the Tigers rush for at least 200 yards in four of the first six games, including 202 in the victory over Notre Dame when Clemson won the rushing yardage statistic by nearly 100 yards. The line has no returning starters from last year, yet has helped the Tigers average 35 points per game.

Starting center Jay Guillermo has been the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week each of the last two weeks, helping Clemson to consecutive games of at least 530 yards total offense. Freshman Mitch Hyatt was recently named as the second best true freshman in the nation regardless of postion by ESPN.com at the midpoint of the season. Senior Eric Mac Lain was named a preseason first-team All-ACC selection.
