*Boyd needs 73 yards passing in the second half to record his 18th career 300 yard passing game. That would tie the ACC record of 18 also held by Philip Rivers of NC State, who played from 2000-03.
*Sammy Watkins had eight catches for 130 yards receiving in the first half. That is his eighth 100-yard receiving game of the year. He already had the Clemson single season record. He now has 15 for his career.

*Rod McDowell had 48 yards rushing in the first half and went over 1000 yards for the season. McDowell needed 46 yards entering this game to reach 1000 yards for the season.
*Clemson is wearing the uniform combination of white tops and orange pants for the first time since the 2010 game at Florida State.
*Tajh Boyd had 73 yards rushing in seven attempts in the first half. That is already his season high for a game. His previous high this year was 17-69 against Wake Forest. Boyd’s career high is 103 yards rushing against NC State in 2012.

View Full Profile recorded his 13th sack of the season in the first half. That is the third most sacks in a season in Clemson history. The record is 16 by Keith Adams in 1999 and DaQuan had 15.5 in 2010.
*Clemson trails 22-20 at halftime. Clemson is 2-13 all-time in bowl games when trailing at the half. But one of the wins took place last year. Clemson trailed LSU 14-13 at the half of the 2012 Chick-fil-A Bowl, then came back to win 25-24. The only other bowl game Clemson has trailed at the half and then won took place at the 1959 Bluebonnet Bowl. Clemson trailed 7-3, then won 23-7.
*Both TCU and LSU had number-seven rankings entering those game, TCU by AP and LSU by USA Today. Ohio State is ranked seventh by AP entering this game.
