Clemson OF named to preseason All-American team

CLEMSON, S.C. - Junior outfielder Steven Duggar (Moore, S.C.) was named a preseason third-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball on Friday. Duggar, who was recently rated the No. 27 college prospect for the 2015 draft by Perfect Game, is a career .297 hitter with 21 doubles, 66 RBIs, 40 steals and 14 outfield assists in 123 games over two seasons.

The Third-Team All-ACC Tiger and All-ACC Academic selection in 2014 had 25 steals, tied for second-most in the league, last season. He led or tied for the team lead in triples (3), steals, multiple-hit games (22), two-out RBIs (17) and outfield assists (5). He also had a 19-game hitting streak that started in 2013 and ended in 2014.

Duggar is a two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll. Duggar and the Tigers open the 2015 season at home against West Virginia on February 13.
