Clemson LB ejected for targeting against S.C.

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson senior linebacker Stephone Anthony was kicked out the game for a late hit and targeting the quarterback late in the third quarter.

On the play, Anthony pushed Thompson as he was throwing it out of bounds on third down. He had some contact with Thompson's helmet but it was very minimal. The refs took a few minutes to look at it on replay and decided not to overturn the call.
