ESPN has released on Wednesday its Top 10 college football games with the highest stakes in 2016 and Clemson-FSU is ranked #2 overall.

Early vegas odds have an opening line for Clemson as a one-point favorite in their ACC matchup with Florida State.

"Even in late May, it's tempting to label this an elimination game in the College Football Playoff chase, even though the teams don't square off until late October," ESPN.com said. "The ACC hasn't received a surplus of respect. In other words, a one-loss team in the ACC could be hard-pressed to get much love from the committee, which makes this game all the more important. Clemson managed to end its drought against FSU last season after three straight defeats, but the Tigers haven't beaten the Seminoles in Tallahassee since 2006 when it was an all-Bowden affair. Bobby Bowden was coaching FSU and son Tommy Bowden coaching Clemson. Now it's The Dabo and Jimbo Show."

Each of the last seven years the winner of the Clemson vs. Florida State game has gone on to win the Atlantic Division. Each of the last five years the winner of this game has also won the ACC Championship.

In 2015, Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson had 404 total yards as #1 Clemson defeated #16 Florida State 23-13 in Death Valley.
