CLEMSON in the NFL

C.J. Spiller on new teammate Stephon Gilmore

BuffaloNews.com caught up with Bills running back CJ Spiller on Day Two of the NFL Draft. Spiller talked about his role on the team, as well as his feelings on the Bills' first round draft pick Stephon Gilmore:

“There was a need I guess in our secondary. Stephon Gilmore is an awesome player. I had the privilege to play against him while at Clemson. I know what type of guy he is. He works hard and he is going to come in and try to help us win some games. I do know one thing. Coach Buddy Nix does a great job of getting the guys we need to help us as a team.

“We always knew he was going to guard the best player. That’s the thing we always watched when we broke it [film] down. He was always going to go against our number one guy and it didn’t matter who it was. He didn’t shy away from it. He took that challenge upon himself. He’s a physical player. He can comes up and press. He can come blitz. That’s outstanding. He is a very versatile cornerback. I’m looking forward to him coming up and being a part of this team.”
