CBSSports.com has released its
weekly bowl projections and Clemson (8-3, 6-2 ACC) is projected to play Mississippi State in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 31 in Miami, Fla.
Clemson has the #1 total defense in the nation and #65th in total offense. The four teams projected in the college football playoffs are Alabama (1) vs Baylor (4), and Oregon (2) vs Florida State (3). Clemson's in-state rival South Carolina is projected in the Birmingham Bowl against Cincinnati. Other bowl projections - College football analyst Phil Steele has Clemson vs Florida in the Belk Bowl.
