Boulware on Clemson being an underdog

Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware spoke with the media on Saturday morning and answered a question about being an underdog against Alabama.

"I think we're just now building our brand," Boulware said. "I think for a long time we haven't been that good. We were very inconsistent. We weren't ever really a part that have National Championship conversation up until the past couple years. So I think it takes awhile to get the respect. But I think it's just, it's slowly but surely getting there. But the way we played, especially for the past two years, playing very consistent.

Boulware shared that he thought that the Pittsburgh loss took some of the pressure off on the season and made his team refocus on their goals.

"Obviously, the loss last year is not the way we wanted it to be," Boulware said. "And, obviously, we wish we wouldn't have lost to Pittsburgh, but we're very grateful for it and the things that that game taught us. I think the respect's getting there. I think it's very well deserved, especially for the way we have been playing."

Boulware has 110 tackles including 9.5 for loss, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, an interception, and four sacks.
