WHAT: FHSAA Class 3A state track and field championships

WHEN: Friday, field events and 4 x 800 starting at 1 p.m.; running prelims at 4 p.m.; running finals at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Showalter Field (2525 Cady Way, Winter Park)

BOYS BUZZ: UF recruit Tyler Osorio of Celebration has 3A's No. 1 400 time (47.74) and is a contender in the 100. Edgewater's Will Bridges is the top qualifier in the 3,200, and his teammate, Taylor Sumagpang, is a threat in the 800. Other medal hopefuls include Purdue football signee Raheem Mostert of New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater's 4 x 800 relay.
